I was driving a rusty, poorly maintained classic car of some sort around a dark, grimy underground car park somewhere in Paris. I was trying to reach an exit, through which I could see a hint of daylight in the distance, but it was at the top of a strange wide, steep ramp with all sorts of awkward random speed bumps and barriers in the way. I spent several minutes struggling to manoeuvre the car up the ramp to the exit, doing complicated multi-point turns and constantly worrying that it might break down or run out of petrol, or that I might critically strain the engine or clutch. All the while, a gang of intimidating strangers — thugs or bullies or some sort — were loitering around the base of the slope, acting loudly and aggressively. I can speak conversational French as a second language in real life, but somehow I couldn't understand a single word they were saying. It was however clear that they were both mocking and threatening me. I did eventually reach the exit, at which point I woke up.
